Due to its beautiful location, the property has been given a very special name by the authorities: Venuskukkula, or Venus Hill.

What you expect
Our lodge is idyllically located on a hillside overlooking Lake Alajärvi, surrounded by the quiet, untouched nature of Finland.
It is modernly equipped and has a new fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, and coffee maker.
The house offers two cozy bedrooms – one with a double bed, one with two single beds – as well as an optional cot.
The lodge also has a private sauna, its own jetty on the lake, and a traditional Finnish barbecue hut (laavu) right on the water, as well as another barbecue hut (kota) right next to the house.
The location combines peace and nature with easy accessibility:
The airport is less than 10 minutes away, a husky farm and reindeer farm can be reached in 10 minutes, the Saariselkä ski resort in 20 minutes, and the center of Ivalo (restaurants, supermarkets, etc.) in 15 minutes.
With a little luck, the reindeer will also visit you on your own terrace.
And there is a high probability that you will be able to watch the northern lights (aurora borealis) dancing over the lake from the terrace.
In summer, you can swim in the lake, go stand-up paddleboarding, boating, or explore nature by bike.
